The Newark Museum of Art will be providing virtual homeschool programs for the upcoming 2020/2021 school year. The goal of these programs is to support families and children as they connect and understand grade-specific subjects using TNMOA collections. Homeschool programs use hands-on educational techniques that engage children through conversation, games and social interaction.
Co-ops and Enrichment Homeschool Groups

- Programs offered Wednesday-Friday; 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm; 2 pm
- Duration: 45-minute sessions
- Capacity: 25 per session maximum; 5 minimum
- Price:
- $10 per person (1-5 kids total)
- $8 per person (6-15 kids total)
- $6 per person (16-25 kids total)

Virtual Homeschool: Sculptures, January 20; 10am
Students will take a slow look at sculptures from the Newark Museum of Art’s collection and have a conversation to understand how the selected works can connect to their lives. Following the deep observation activities, students will create their own sculpture using every day materials.

Virtual Homeschool: The Art of Photography, February 17, 10 am
Learn about photography and create your own works in this fun interactive smartphone photography lesson. Students will discuss perspective, still-life photography, portraits, and angles as they create and understand the art of photography.
