Join us for an exclusive Member-only tour and learn about the Museum’s 1784 Old Stone School House and Fire Museum.
Recently restored, explore the oldest standing school building in Newark! Now living in the Museum’s Alice Ransom Dreyfuss Memorial Garden, this one-room school hosted generations of students between 1784 and the early 20th century.
Also in the Museum Garden, we will tour the Newark Fire Museum. Housed in the Ward Carriage House (circa 1860), the newly refurbished Newark Fire Museum tells the story of the challenges faced by firefighters in the 19th century and includes a historic fire apparatus and various equipment.
